Dr. James M. Odom


Our pastor, Dr. James M. Odom, has been in Gospel ministry since 1969.  He and his beautiful wife, Lynda, attended the same church as teenagers and were married in their home church.  Shortly thereafter, they graduated from Bible college together.  


Upon his college graduation with both a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Theology, Pastor Odom was called of the Lord to return to his hometown of Miami, Florida to serve as Assistant Pastor of a local independent Baptist Church.


In 1971, the Seagate Baptist Church called Dr. Odom to be its pastor with a unanimous vote.  For the next forty years, God has used him to reach the lost and encourage the Christian in southwest Florida.


Preacher is known in this area as being a statesman of our faith.  He is truly a pillar of our community who has served the Lord through blessings and trials and has maintained a testimony of faithfulness and stedfast love for the Lord.  Our church feels blessed to have such a man of God who is filled with vision and love which comes from a pastor's heart.


Pastor Odom and Lynda have three children and six grandchildren.  Their oldest child, Jackie, is in Heaven with Jesus.  Her legacy continues to be a testimony of God's grace.  We invite you to read the story of her miraculous life on the Jackie Odom Memorial page of this website.  Their second daughter, Becky, is our Associate Pastor's wife serving the Lord alongside her husband, Bro. Glenn Wiggins and is a vital asset to the work of the Lord here at Seagate.  Together they have three lovely daughters.  Pastor and Mrs. Odom's son, Tommy and his wife, Carolyn have three precious children.  He is the pastor of First Baptist Church of Southwest Broward in Cooper City, Florida and is a great preacher of God's Word.   


We pray that God gives our Pastor and his wife many more years of added health and strength as they continue to serve the Lord with us here at Seagate Baptist Church.

Associate Pastor
Bro. Glenn Wiggins


Bro. Glenn Wiggins first attended our church as a teenager.  It was then that the Lord saved him and called him into the Gospel ministry.


He and his wife, Becky, are both graduates of Seagate Christian Schools.  After graduation, they both earned their degrees from Crown College in Powell, Tennessee.


With a great heart and understanding of our ministry, Bro. Wiggins answered the Lord's call to return back home to our church and serve on staff here.  After fifteen years of faithful service, he is now our Associate Pastor and serves the Lord in all aspects of our church. 


Bro. Wiggins is a multi-talented servant of God.  People at Seagate enjoy his warm personality and powerful preaching of God's Word. 


He, his wife and their three daughters thoroughly enjoy being a part of this church family as they serve the Lord together with some of the greatest Christians they know.

Youth Director

Bro. Donnie Glasenapp


Donnie Glasenapp and his wife, Meghan, are both graduates of Golden State Baptist College in Santa Clara, California.


Bro. Glasenapp has become a great asset to the work of the Lord here at Seagate.  He faithfully serves the Lord in many ministries and is a blessing to all who know him. 


Bro. Glasenapp is our church's Youth Director and has a great heart for the teenagers of our community.  He and his wife both teach in our Christian school and we are fortunate to have them on our staff as co-labourers together with God.
